A Little More About Me: I'm a woman, mother, wife, artist, theatre-lover, and member of the LGBTQ community. I love fully, laugh proudly, and have no shame in who I am.
Anyone who knows me will tell you that I am resourseful, tech-savvy, and dedicated. I know how to use a lot of different programs, but beyond that - I am very proficient at figuring out new programs on my own. I'm great at working independently (though I also thrive on a team). I am a multi-skilled, efficient, quick learner that prides herself on quality of performance and fine-details. I'm also pretty personable ;) - anyway, here are my virtual assistant services, rate, and packages.
What I Offer as a Virtual Assistant
My hourly rate is $50 CAD per hour / $40 USD per hour. My hourly rate reduces starting at 10 hour monthly retainer packages.

These photos and clips are from some of the theatre productons that I have been Director / Choreographer / Stage Manager / Lighting Designer / Etc for. Putting on a production requires excellent time management, organization, and attention to detail. Here were some of my responsibilities in these productions:
- Organized and Scheduled the whole timeline of the production; including rehearsals, tech, sets, blocking, crew, promotional events, and performances.
- Created detailed and organized blocking and choreography that had to account for over 30 people moving within a space with moving set pieces and quick costume changes.
- Managed large groups of people with very intricate and sensitive deadlines.
- Visualized the big and final picture, by knowing all the small pieces of the puzzle that needed to come together.
- Made creative solutions to have the shows run smoothly, safely, and be entertaining for audiences.
- Signed off on all other production decisions (ie. costumes, set design, prop design).
March 2016 - Present
Jessika Digital is a business that I created in 2016. This is the business that I use for Virtual Assitance, as well as other freelance services I provide. I create a lot of different types of digital creations and graphic designs. Here are some of my services / responsibilities with this business:
- Virtual Assistance (various administration, organizational, social media, scheduling, drafting correspondance, etc)
- Design Graphics for print (such as posters, business cards, brochures, labels, banners, etc)
- Design Graphics for online marketing (such as short video ads, social media graphics, etc)
- Design Logos, typography, and other eye-catching branding graphics.
- Portrait and small group photography. Including photo editing.
- Create and set up websites for clients (including ecommerce, booking plugins, etc).
- Create tribute video slideshows for weddings, funerals, and other events.
- Keep track of, and file, all income and expenses for tax purposes.
April 2015 - May 2019
In my six years of living in Elk Point, I became known as the town's theatre expert. Typically in a theatre there are multiple people to fill the roles of Director / Choreographer / Stage Manager / Lighting Designer / Etc - but, in Elk Point - those roles were all filled by me. Here are some of my responsibilties at Elk Point Theatre Project:
- Schedule out all aspects of the productions, including: auditions, rehearsals, set design, tech, crew, indvidualized coaching, and performances.
- Hold auditions and cast the shows.
- Come up with creative blocking and choreography for actors as well as set & costume changes.
- Design and run all lighting and sound cues (100s per show).
- Take and keep very detailed notes of blocking, choreography, lighting cues, sound cues, set changes, and costume changes.
- Teach kids (7-17) acting skills, and choreography.
- Create all graphics for posters, playbills, tickets, online advertisements, and other ads.
- Manage social media accounts (make posts, ads, and contests).
- Create forms, audition and rehearsal booklets, long-range and short-range schedules, correspondence, and other documents.
Dec 2013 - Feb 2014
I was hired as a temporary Instructional Assistant (while I was pregnant) at FG Miller Jr/Sr High School in Elk Point. I was hired to fill in temporarily for a leave of another worker. Here were some of my responsibilities:
- Worked one-on-one with a teen with Oppositional Defiant Disorder to help him with his individualized needs in class.
- Worked with a teen who was a wheelchair user with cerebral palsy and learning disabilities.
- Provided support to teachers (aided with class management, made photocopies, prepped lesson materials, etc).
Feb 2012 - July 2013
During my time at Sunlife Financial, I was given a promotion for being an efficient and organized worker. Here were some of my responsibilities:
- Had expertise knowledge on Individual Life Insurance (Term, Whole Life, & Universal Life)
- Mentored & trained new customer service coordinators
- Took inbound calls from insurance brokers and policy owners, aiding with contracts, taxible incomes, and policy projections (illustrations).
- Coded internal help websites for workers.
- Drafted & sent professional correspondence, including inforce and pre-sale illustrations with in-depth explanations.
May 2011 - Feb 2012
I was quickly promoted to team lead at Thyme Maternity due to my strong work ethic. Here were some of my responsibilities:
- Responsible for opening and closing the store.
- Managed money in the safe, till, and deposits.
- Made bi-weekly schedules for staffing.
- Took resumes, interviewed, hired, and trained staff.
- Calculated daily stats for goals and reports.
- Served customers, cleaned store, folded & organized clothing, organized inventory logs, set up displays, and worked the cash machine.
2001 - 2010
I had to start work at a very young age since my family was poor (I don't even think it was legal, but my mom was the supervisor at my first job at age 11). I was in school (including university) until June of 2011, so most of my jobs were part time in the school year, full time in the summer, or just seasonal positions. Due to the length of time that has passed, I figured I would just bullet point the different jobs I had below. I share these positions to show the variety of different jobs I have had and emphasize how I am multi-skilled and capable of being successful at many different tasks. All of these positions were in Fort McMurray, Alberta.

I got a liberal arts education at the UofL. This means that, on top of my wonderful theatre degree courses, I also took General Liberal Education Requirement courses to get my degree. This included: Computer Science, Anthropology, Psychology, Geography, Sociology, Women's Studies, Neuroscience, Film Studies, and English.

I have always had a love for theatre and the performing arts, but until college I never knew how many life skills theatre can teach you.
